Our Board of Directors

Badr Abdulla Al Ghurair Chairman
Mr. Badr has served as the Board Member of Sukoon for 11 years. He is also the CEO of Al Ghurair Cars Taxi, one of the largest taxi fleet companies in the UAE. He brings with him, a diverse business experience and has held various senior management roles in different organisations over the years. Mr. Badr holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston University, USA.
Mohamed Abdel Hamid Abdel-Razek Vice Chairman
Mohamed Abdel-Hamid Abdel-Razek is a highly accomplished board-level IT executive with a wealth of experience, spanning 30 years, in IT Management, Strategy, Operations, and Transformation. His expertise lies in strategy execution, cost optimisation, change management and leadership, covering sectors like telecommunication, oil and gas, FMCG, and financial services in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

At present, he is Mashreq Bank’s ESVP – Group Head of Technology, Transformation and Information in the UAE, as well as the Internal Non-Executive Director (INED) of its Pakistan chapter.
Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair Member
His Excellency, Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mashreq Bank. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Group of Companies, one of the biggest and most successful business groups in the Middle East. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of many other major local and regional companies and institutions. He holds an Honours Degree from the California Polytechnic State University in Industrial Engineering.
Hamda AlShamali Member
Hamda AlShamali joined Sukoon's Board of Directors on February 29, 2024. She brings a wealth of experience to Sukoon, with a track record of building HR function and teams from the ground up, resiliently leading extensive teams, strengthening HR operations while supporting employee engagement, performance, retention, and talent development in the banking and insurance industry. She is also a Member of Mashreq Bank's Executive Committee, charged with leading an innovative people mandate.
Hazem Shish Member
Mr. Hazem Shish has been elected as a Board Member at Sukoon on 12th April 2022. He is the Co-Founder & CEO of ‘REVAM LTD’: An Alternative Asset Management and Advisory Platform.
He has extensive experience in M&A transactions in the region, and holds a Master's degree of Science in Management with an emphasis on International Finance & Banking.
Nabeel Waheed Rashed Waheed Member
Along with his current position at Sukoon, Mr. Nabeel is a Board Member at AG Melco and AG University. He is also the Group Head Treasury and Finance at Al Ghurair Investment.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Rashed Saif Al Jarwan Member
Mr. Rashed Saif Al Jarwan is a Board Member at Sukoon and has over 40 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering. He is also the Chairman of Al Ghurair Holding, Vice Chairman of Dana Gas, Board Member at Emarat, Mashreq Bank and DIFC.
